This contract is for the construction of a storage yard facility for commuter railcars. The work under this Contract will be performed primarily within the Sunnyside Yard and Harold Interlocking area in Queens, NY. The work under this Contract shall include, but is not limited to:
o Demolition and removal of existing catenary structures, buildings, utilities, and a railroad bridge
o Environmental remediation
o Excavation and grading
o Installation of utilities, sub-ballast, switches, ties, track, third rail, drainage, catenary, conduit, and duct banks
o Installation and testing of Central instrument Locations (CIL’s)
o Installation, testing, and commissioning of yard track, signal systems, traction power, and mechanical and electrical systems
o Integrated testing of systems
o Supporting the integrated systems testing performed by adjacent Contractors
o Constructing a footbridge, walkways, and roadways
