2. HORIZONTAL CABLING
2.1 WORK AREA OUTLETS
Install telecommunications outlet/connector as specified in TIA/EIA-568-B.1. A minimum of 2 eight-position modular jacks shall be required at each Acom console position work area. Outlet shall be located within 3 meters of workstation PC. Jack pin/pair assignments shall per ANSI/TIA/EIA-606 T568A. The contractor shall be responsible for supplying all tools and material required to meet this requirement. Pricing should be based on a per work area basis.
2.2 TELECOMMUNICATION ROOM
Install connecting hardware that meets the requirements of ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2 (typically a Multi-Port RJ-45 Panel). Jack pin/pair assignments shall per ANSI/TIA/EIA-606 T568A. Capacity will vary based on the number of work area outlets being served by this hardware. Pricing should be based on a 24-port basis. That is, the price to terminate 24 4-pair 100-ohm cables on eight-position modular jacks.
2.3 WORK AREA TO TELECOMMUNICATIONS ROOM CABLING
Install Four-pair 100-ohm category 6 (ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.3-1) cabling from each work area to the telecommunications equipment room. A minimum of 2 cables to each Work Area shall be required. Total cable distance shall not exceed 100 meters for any given cable run. Cabling shall be terminated at the work area as specified in section 2.1 and terminated in the telecommunications room as specified in section 2.2. The contractor shall be responsible for supplying all tools and material required to meet this requirement. Pricing should be based on a per work area to telecommunications room cable run basis.

3. EQUIPMENT CABINET INSTALLATION
3.1 SEISMIC MOUNTING OF EQUIPMENT CABINETS
Equipment cabinets will be delivered and placed into the telecommunications equipment room. The contractor shall secure each equipment cabinet to equipment room floor using the manufacturer’s seismic mounting kit. Floor types vary based on location but for purposes of estimating costs you should assume concrete or false floor with removable tiles. Zetron equipment cabinets are sourced from APC (www.apc.com). They are 19" equipment compatible, 42RU tall, 41.38" Deep, w/perforated front and rear locking doors, and solid side panels. The Cabinets shall be APC NetShelter SX42U or equivalent. A fully loaded equipment cabinet will not exceed 800 LBS in weight. Pricing should be based on a per cabinet basis.

3.2 GROUNDING OF EQUIPMENT CABINETS
The Zetron supplied equipment cabinets will each contain a vertical mounted ground bus bar. Each vertical ground buss will be directly connected to the room ground bus, external to the racks, also referred to as the Telecommunications Grounding Busbar (TGB). The contractor shall be responsible for making this connection. The connection to the TGB shall be a home run ground wire from the rack ground bus to the TGB. No "daisy chaining" of any kind will be permitted. Cabinet vertical ground busses shall be connected to the TGB with green insulated # 2 AWG stranded wire. The ends of each home run ground wire will be terminated with a "ring eyelet" crimped to the wire. The contractor shall be responsible for supplying all tools and material required to make this connection. Pricing should be based on a per cabinet basis.
3.3 CABLING TO DEMARCATION WALL
The equipment cabinet will be located no greater than 100 feet (cable distance) from the telecommunication room demarcation wall/rack. The contractor shall be responsible for installing the following cables between the equipment cabinet and demarcation wall:
• Twenty-five-pair 100-ohm category 3 (ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.3-1) cable. Not to exceed 12 cables per cabinet.
• Four-pair 100-ohm category 6 (ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.3-1) cable. Not to exceed 24 cables per cabinet.
Zetron shall supply the cable. The contractor shall be responsible for installing and terminating the cables on connecting hardware that meets the requirements of ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2 (typically type-66 telecommunications punchdown blocks). Pricing should be based on a per cabinet basis.

4. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT RESPONSE
4.1 ADDITIONAL ONGOING MAINTENANCE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Zetron may seek additional ongoing equipment maintenance and technical support response of the 9-1-1 Call Taking equipment as additional needs are identified through project negotiations.
4.2 CONTRACTOR QUALIFCATIONS
Contractors shall submit the following items for qualification:
• Describe experience on 9-1-1 Call Taking Systems. Include Manufacturer of Systems/Equipment and Type of System.
• Employees, Title and Experience. Include Certifications, Product lines. Include number of technicians at location.
• Hours of Operation.
• Labor Rates. Include normal business hour rates and overtime rates.
• Available Response Time to the 1960 West Exchange Place, Tucker, GA 20084
• Completed Contractor Qualification Worksheet
