Notice to NYS Certified M/WBE Sub-contractors for Topographic Survey and Base Mapping for the Town of Geneva, Ontario County, New York for Water District 6 on Ontario County Road 6. This project is funded in part by New York State Office of Community Renewal and United States of America Environmental Protection Agency. Quotes are now being accepted for the work, which is briefly described as follows:

• Topographic field survey for the design of a new water main along the west side of County Road 6. Approximate length is 9,200 feet extending from County Road 4 to the Town of Geneva/Town of Phelps Municipal line.
• Survey to include right-of-way determination along County Road 6 and County Road 4 (at intersection of CR 6 and CR 4).
• Topographic data to include right-of-way to right-of-way. Along the west side of the road topographic shots shall extend a minimum of 15 feet beyond the right-of-way line.
• Approximate property lines of properties along route (both sides) using tax map information or information demonstrating a property corner(s).
• Location of existing curb stops along the route (both sides of the road).
• Base mapping of project.
• Refer to attached scheduled A for additional information and further detail of requirements.
•Firm to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in linear survey.
• Two (2) paper maps to be provided in addition to electronic format, paper copies to be sealed by the license survey involved in the project.

Lump sum price to be provided including all travel, travel expenses, mailing and printing to MRB Group located at 145 Culver Road, Suite 160, Rochester, NY 14620. Schedule A

Horizontal and Vertical Control

1. All projects shall be tied to the New York State Plane Coordinate System, North American Datum 1983, (2012 Adjustment), 12A Geoid. Tied to the New York State CORS Network.

2. Provide a minimum of two (2) inter-visible horizontal control points for the project and two (2) vertical bench marks. Horizontal control points shall have a minimum of three (3) swing ties for location by others.

3. Control tie sheet shall be provided for each horizontal control point and a description of each benchmark and its location.

Site Survey

1. Survey minimum limits to be defined by Engineer. Surveyor shall show due diligence and reasonable care to locate all natural and artificial objects within the project site. This should include but not limited to trees larger than 1”, bushes, hedges, flower gardens, utility poles ( with pole number and owner), guy wires, light poles, mail boxes, sidewalks, rock walls, stone walls, retaining walls, driveways (identify material), mile markers (with marker data), culverts (size and type), catch basins, drainage inlets(size, type, depth), fences (height, material), buildings, water/gas services, clean outs, hydrants, water/gas valves, property monumentation (identify type), road/street/highway monumentation, hedge rows, roadways (identify material), streams (bottom width), ditches, swales, manholes (inside diameter,depth), hand holes, vaults, pedestals (telephone, cable, petroleum), etc.

2. Where steep slopes run parallel to the proposed utility provide additional ground shots to define existing grades either top or toe of slopes.

3. Elevation positions within the site to develop a digital terrain model for the establishment of one foot contouring for the entire site. Finish floors of existing building adjacent to project site.

4. Underground utility elevations rim and inverts of all manholes, culverts, hand holes, vaults, catch basins, drainage inlets, as located in one (1) above. All pipe, sizes, types and direction where ever possible. Alignment of any all utilities evident at the time of survey.

5. Stream, drainage ways, ditches – will require additional locations and elevations to be able to create depth to design utility profiles.

6. Surveyor may request a design ticket from Dig Safely New York (UFPO) prior to beginning field work. Copies of any utility or right of way mapping and correspondence to be supplied to MRB/group.

Base Mapping to be Supplied

1. All base mapping to be supplied in an Autocad Civil 3-D 2015 readable format.
2. Digital Terrain model to be in an Autocad Civil 3-D 2015 readable format.
3. Indicate top and bottoms of slopes, drainage ways, roadways, water surfaces etc.
4. County Road Right-of-way boundary (Ontario County).
5. Approximate property lines (tax map accuracy)
6. Comma delineated ASCII file of all field points, with copy of point description keys
