WATER RECLAMATION FACILITY NO. 2 TERTIARY FILTRATION PROJECT: The Tertiary Filtration Project will provide tertiary filtration processes, including granular media filtration (GMF) units and associated facilities, to allow for the production of Title 22 reclaimed water from WRF2. Secondary effluent will be fed to the GMF and backwash waste will be treated in the existing submerged microfiltration system. Filter feed pre-conditioning will include inline addition of coagulant (e.g. Alum) and flocculation basins. New disinfection facilities will be constructed to meet the needs of the Tertiary Filtration Project. Pumping equipment, miscellaneous piping work, piping connections, civil/mechanical work, drainage, paving, instrumentation and control, and electrical work will be constructed to support the tertiary filtration processes.
