General Purpose: To develop an alternative transportation corridor in a former railroad corridor. Scope of work: The Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing gravel trail and construction of approximately 2.2 miles of 12-foot wide paved trail with gravel shoulders, concrete sidewalk connections, and wetland mitigation planting. Other items of work include erosion control, site preparation, structural earth wall, soldier pile wall, fencing , stormwater conveyance system, culvert, curb and gutter, signage, signal equipment relocation and adjustment, traffic control, utility adjustments, trail amenity items, and landscaping.
