Rockland County Purchasing Division and the RC Procurement Center of Excellence are hosting an in-person "Supplier Academy" event at which businesses can learn more about doing business with Rockland County and with SUNY Rockland. Topics covered will include: understanding public procurement; bidder registration and vendor enrollment; finding opportunities; Empire Procure Connect and the Empire State Cooperative Procurement Alliance; responding to solicitations; insurance and bonding requirements; prevailing wage rules; MWBE and DBE Participation; procurement contacts at the County and RCC; state and regional resources; success stories; and practical tips.
