Palm Beach County, through its Office of Small Business Development (OSBD), operates a certification program for small business enterprises (SBEs). There is a minimum mandatory goal of 20 percent SBE participation for all county contracts. Certification application is made online, though paper applications are offered on the OSBD website as well. Criteria for SBE certification include (but are not limited to) average gross receipts over the past three years of under $13,000,000 for construction companies, being domiciled in Palm Beach County, and being a for-profit entity under the State of Florida Division of Corporations.

Does this certification expire? The certifications are offered for a period of three years.

How do I get re-certified? A recertification affidavit is provided by the county.
