Project Details

Background checks - The background checks conducted by Contractor shall be in accordance with RTC standards and applicable Federal and State law and shall include the use of a licensed background check vendor to carry out criminal background checks and personal credit history reviews (as applicable). Criminal background checks must include arrest and conviction records (county, state, and nationwide) for all jurisdictions in which the applicant has resided in the previous seven (7) years.

Drug and alcohol testing - The Contractor shall ensure that employees are tested in accordance with the FTA Alcohol and Drug Testing Regulations, including pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, post-accident, and random testing. The Contractor shall also comply with the FTA's minimum requirements for random testing for illegal drug use of fifty percent (50%) of safety sensitive employees on an annual basis, and random testing for alcohol misuse of ten percent (10%) of safety- sensitive employees on an annual basis, in accordance with 49 CFR Part 655. The Contractor shall adjust annual random testing rates to comply with any future amendments to the Federal requirements.

Uniforms - The Contractor shall cause all Vehicle Operators to be attired in such uniforms or clothing as specified by the Contractor and approved by the RTC. Such clothing shall display the service logo or name.

Office supplies - The Contractor shall maintain an adequate inventory of spare parts, supplies, tools, and other Equipment to conduct maintenance and repairs on vehicles and other Equipment in a timely manner in order to assure the capability of providing full Revenue Service at all times as required by this Contract.

Mystery rider services - Mystery Rider Program independently evaluates service quality from the passenger perspective.

Towing services

Onsite information technology - Staff will be responsible for supporting all contractor supplied technology solutions.

Staff will perform basic troubleshooting efforts on RTC provided solutions before contacting the RTC information technology help desk.

Staff will need to be available 7-days a week 24-hours a day to provide support.

Staff will be the point of contact for all communications with RTC information technology help desk including the submission of support tickets.

Vehicle parts and tires - Spare Parts and Tires. The Contractor shall also be responsible for providing and maintaining an adequate inventory of spare parts and tires to assure proper maintenance and operation of Vehicles

Customer Services Support – Staff member(s) will investigate all comments using all of the tools available to determine validity of the comment. These tools could include, but not be limited to, reviewing the footage and audio from the bus, interviewing the Operator in question, reaching out to customers if additional information is needed, review dispatching/scheduling software, etc.

Staff member(s) will be available to contact customers directly for escalated comments or as directed by the RTC.

Staff member(s) will need to be available 7 days a week to assist with any comments that are received.

Staff member(s) will need to have proper grammar and professional business writing skills to ensure all responses are professional.



It is mandatory that participating firms are certified by the Nevada Unified Certification Program as either DBE or SBE.
