Project Details

Archer Western is accepting bid proposals for Grantsville Wastewater Treatment Plant (the Project), a wastewater treatment plant in Grantsville, UT. Subcontractor and supplier proposals are asked to be sent to Archer Western by Thursday, March 19 at 3:00 PM Arizona Time.

This project is anticipated to receive funding from the Utah State Revolving Fund. This project includes Build America, Buy America (BABA), Davis-Bacon Wages and American Iron & Steel (AIS).

WORK/SUPPLY CATEGORIES NEEDED & PROJECT SCOPE

The Project includes the following work:

1. The Mobilization of all equipment, labor, tools, and materials to and from the project site.

2. Site demolition and removal of existing equipment and/or infrastructure as indicated in the Contract Documents.

3. Replacing pumps and modifying the existing South Pump Station to accommodate new pumps, piping, valves, and flow meter. Bypass pumping will be required to complete this work. Refer to Section 020960 for bypass pumping details.

4. Construction of a new Headworks building including influent flume channel, installation of new screens and washer/compactor equipment, installation of new grit classifier equipment, and all associated structural, gates, mechanical, HVAC, piping, and electrical components.
Headworks building includes adjacent electrical controls room.

5. Construction of grit separation chambers including influent splitter box, inlet ducts, and effluent channels. Installation of grit chamber mechanism and grit pumps and all associated structural, gates, mechanical, piping, and electrical components.

6. Construction of new biological nutrient removal and aeration basins including all walkways, railing, and access stairs. Installation of associated eductor mixers, fine bubble diffusers, and associated air piping and valving. Install all associated structural, gates, weirs, piping, and electrical components.

7. Construction of new blower and master electrical building, including operator control room and plenum room. Blower building includes installation of new blowers, air piping, electrical room, electrical gear, conduits, and all associated structural, mechanical, HVAC, piping,
valving, and electrical components. The work also includes installation of the adjacent, exterior electrical gear and standby generator pads and all associated electrical items.

8. Construction of new secondary clarifier tanks including flow splitter manhole, influent isolation boxes, and installation of secondary clarifier mechanisms. The Work includes installation of clarifier mechanism, stilling wells, scum beaches/piping, access bridges and steps, and all associated structures, gates, mechanical, piping, and electrical components.

9. Construction of new scum pump station including pump vault, valve vault, and installation of associated mixer and pumps. The Work includes all associated structures, piping, valving, mechanical, and electrical components.

10. Construction of new UV Disinfection building including influent/effluent boxes, effluent flume channel, UV channels, and wiring/hose channels. The building includes an interior electrical room and the non-potable water skid. The Work includes all associated structures,
gates, piping, valves, mechanical components, pumps, HVAC, and electrical components.

11. Construction of new dewatering building including adjacent electrical room and recessed pump pit area. The building includes dewatering equipment, covered dumpsters, polymer wetting and dosing equipment, dewatered sludge conveyors, sludge transfer pumps, and internal recycle/RAS pumps in the pump pit area. The Work includes all associated structures, access stairs, piping, valves, mechanical components, pumps, HVAC, and electrical components. The pump pit area includes a monorail crane system and associated access door.

12. Construction of new site drain and storm water pump station including pump vault, valve vault, and installation of associated pumps. The Work includes all associated structures, piping, valving, mechanical, and electrical components

13. Construction of new solids holding tank. The solids holding includes access stairs, mixing diffuser system, mixing air blower, and associated sludge feed, transfer, and bypass piping. The Work includes all associated structures, gates, valves, piping, mechanical components, and electrical components.

14. Excavation and modifications to existing storage ponds to accommodate new process piping and improvements. Modifications will be required in the overflow/solids storage lagoon to accommodate the new solids holding tank.

15. The Work includes upgrading electrical service to the site.

16. The Work includes electrical demolition and removal of existing wiring and gear for abandoned buildings and routing of new site electrical to maintain power to existing buildings.

17. Rerouting existing pressure sewer piping to the new headworks (or site sanitary sewer manholes) as detailed in the drawings.

18. Coordination of inspections and testing with City selected 3rd party testing and inspecting agencies.

19. All programing, instrumentation, integration, and networking to provide the functionality, automation, and SCADA systems indicated in the design drawings and technical specifications.

20. All other civil, earth work, excavation, shoring, dewatering, subgrade preparation, yard piping, manholes, storm drain piping, catch basins, site conduits, duct bunk, electrical vaults, and electrical work as detailed in the Contract Documents. The work includes routing new non-potable utility water lines, routing new potable water lines to new structures and fire hydrants,and connecting new natural gas piping to a new service line.

21. Testing, startup, and commissioning as described in Section 017500 - Commissioning and as required by equipment suppliers. Testing will consist of preliminary installation checks, clean water operation, and reliability testing while operating under normal conditions.
