The program summary on this page was last updated on 06/18/2018. If any of the information or links are out-of-date, please contact us.

The Human Relations Department for Kansas City, Missouri, applies minority and women business participation goals on many of its contracts, but in order for an eligible firm's participation to be counted toward the goal they must first be certified through the city's Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (MWDBE) Program.

Additionally, Kansas City administers a Small Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) Program, which helps minority and small businesses bid on select contracts as prime contractors.

Does this certification expire? A provided annual update form must be returned yearly for a business to retain its certification.
