Project Description: Remove asphalt to expose approximately 680 linear feet of rail track of West Lead. Saw-cut and remove asphalt to the top of the ties; remove existing ties and material to 6” below the bottom of ties. Install new ballast, timber ties and fasteners and tamp, and install new asphalt to top of rail with a formed flange-way for rail car wheel passage. Depth of asphalt is approximately 8 inches with a width of 14ft. Work is to be completed during normal working hours Monday-Friday 7AM to 5PM.
