Project Details

The bid submittal is scheduled for July 15, 2022 at 12:00 PM CDT. We hereby request that you submit your quotation to us no later than July 13, 2022 at 5:00 PM CDT, on the items of work or materials that your company is certified to supply or perform. The project consists of the replacement of the existing bridge which carries I-270 over the Mississippi River with two new structures. The new structures will consist of new abutments; piers on drilled shafts with permanent casing and rock socket; 60", 70", and 80" web plate girders; 8.25" slab deck; and removal of the existing structure. Work will also include the construction of new pavement along the roadway which will include earth excavation; continuously reinforced Portland cement concrete pavement 12.25"; stabilized HMA subbase 4"; aggregate base course, type A 12"; Portland cement concrete shoulders 12"; subbase granular material, type A 12"; shoulder stabilization; concrete barrier; combination concrete curb and gutter; concrete median; limestone fill; steel plate beam guardrail; pipe underdrains; storm sewers; drainage structures; rumble strips; signing pavement marking; raised pavement markers; delineators; erosion control; and all other work necessary to complete the project.

Scopes to be solicited include (but are not limited to): earthwork & excavation, structural steel fabrication & erection, drilled shafts, furnishing & installing pile, drainage, lighting, sign structures, erosion control, painting, landscaping, pavement, pavement marking, maintenance & protection of traffic, saw cutting, shear stud installation, furnishing & installing rebar, guardrail, fence, grooving, vibration monitoring, slipforming, survey, and bridge demo.

Your quote must conform to all requirements of the bid documents, including but not limited to the plans, general provisions, special provisions, specifications, and contract for construction of the owner/agency (including addenda thereto) and follow all federal, state, and local laws.

If your firm is awarded the project by American Bridge Company, you will be required to execute our standard subcontract or material supply agreement and adhere to AB's standard Safety and Quality Programs, all of which is available for your review in the AB Standard Programs & Contracts folder within the project Plan Room. Subcontractors, dependent on scale of scope, may be required to furnish a conforming certificate of insurance along with payment and performance bonds before entering a subcontract, the cost of which should be included in your quotation. Suppliers, dependent on scale of scope, may be required to furnish a supply bond before entering into an agreement. If requested, assistance and/or accommodations can be made in obtaining bonding, credit, insurance, etc.
