Project Details

This Public Works Project consists of maintenance dredging of the Larkspur Ferry Terminal berths, turning basin and navigational approach channel. Work also includes performing hydrographic surveys, temporarily removing of one float and walkway and disconnecting associated utilities for dredging access in the berths and reinstalling the float and walkway and reconnecting all utility connections. Services and subcontractors needed include the following: Tugboat Services (NAICS 488330) Towing services for 3000 CY scows to disposal sites including SF-11, SF-10, Montezuma Wetlands or Cullinan Ranch; Bathometric Surveying (NAICS 541370) Pre dredge, post dredge, weekly progress surveys and monthly payment surveys; Plumbing Contractor (NAICS 238220) Disconnect and reconnect utility lines including the bilge, sewer, service air, and potable water connections that supply those utilities from Berths 3 to 4 at camlock connections. Work is associated with Bid Item 7, Temporary Removal and Reinstallation of Berth 4 Float; Electrical Contractor (NAICS 238210) Disconnect and reconnect power cables feeding Berth 4 to J-box under the apron at Berth 3 and Berth 3 subpanel. Work is associated with Bid Item 7, Temporary Removal and Reinstallation of Berth 4 Float. Also needed is a project sign (NAICS 339950). The anticipated work period is July 2022 - November 30, 2022. DBE/SBE participation is requested - 2.1% required / Engineer's Estimate $18,670,000. Proposals are requested by May 30, 2022 by COB.


DIR registration and certified payroll is required. CA prevailing wages or David Bacon Federal Wage rate apply, whichever is higher. *Note that all work is over the water and will require USL&H insurance in addition to matching the required insurance indicated in the Specifications.* Bonds may be required.
