Kerex Engineering, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE & Non-DBE subcontractors and suppliers for the following items of work including but not limited to; demolition, saw-cutting, concrete coring, grading, excavation, fill, concrete, rebar, electrical, plumbing, fencing, trucking, landscaping, paving, and other required work and trades. The Work generally consists of the installation of curb ramps, retaining walls, pavement stripes and markings, base failure repairs, and asphalt pavement grinding and overlay along San Pablo Avenue between Pinole Shores Drive to the westerly City limits. Refer to the Plans for a detailed description of the location. More specifically, the Work consists of, but is not limited to, saw-cutting; removal of existing asphalt concrete and Portland Cement concrete pavements, curb, gutter, ramps, and sidewalk, as required; construction of new portland cement concrete curb, gutter, ramps, and installation of asphalt concrete pavement, adjusting storm drain and utility boxes to grade, installation of pavement striping and markings, traffic control, installation of traffic signal loop detectors, associated wiring, wooden retaining wall, and conforming to adjacent landscape areas. Such miscellaneous work, including removal of concrete forms, disposal off-site of all unsuitable materials, and cleanup of the site.

Kerex Engineering, Inc. can assist in payment of a reasonable bond premium. A 100% payment bond and performance bond may be required for the full amount of the subcontract price. Please provide a bond premium rate with your quote. Please note that no contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting the owner's requirements and will be required to sign the standard Kerex Engineering, Inc. subcontract agreement. Plans and Specifications are available to be viewed in our office located at 4941 Pacheco Blvd. Martinez, CA. 94553 between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday by appointment or you can send a request for this project and we will send you the specs/plans.
