Is seeking qualified DBEs

The Project involves the Design Build services for the VAN WYCK EXPRESSWAY (VWE) located in Queens County, New York. The Project will consist of constructing one additional travel lane (with high-occupancy vehicle restrictions) in each direction of the VWE between Kew Gardens Interchange and JFK Airport, reconstructing and/or relocating the exit and entrance ramps within the project limits, and constructing or reconstructing nine (9) bridges to accommodate the mainline widening.

Scope of work for this project includes but is not limited to: demolition, asbestos removal, clearing and grubbing, landscaping, MPT, drainage, pavement, milling, fencing, guiderails, retaining walls, concrete, sidewalk, striping, rebar, signage, geotechnical, boring, shoring, piles, structural steel, rail work, waterproofing, painting, bearing, decking, tolling, utilities, electrical, lighting, and other trades typically associated with this type of work.

This project is a Federally Funded Project and has DBE Goals assigned to it. Halmar encourages and promotes the maximum DBE participation possible on this and all of its projects.
