Project Details
The S.W. Capitol Hwy: S.W. Taylors Ferry Rd. to S.W. Garden Home Rd. Fixing Our Streets -Sidewalks project involves the construction of street, sewer and water improvements along the following street(s):

• S.W. Capitol Hwy: S.W. Taylors Ferry Rd. to S.W. Garden Home Rd.
• SW Carson between SW Capitol Hwy and SW 42nd Ave

Improvements shall consist of those items of work listed in the Proposal and as shown on the accompanying Contract Documents. The Contractor shall perform all labor, and furnish all materials, Equipment and incidentals required to make each item complete. Work shall include, but not be limited to:

1. Construct, maintain, and remove temporary work zone traffic control measures.
2. Construct, maintain, and remove erosion control measures.
3. Perform all removal of structures and obstruction, clearing and grubbing, and earthwork operations.
4. Construct drainage system including water quality facilities, sewer pipes, maintenance holes and inlets.
5. Construct retaining walls.
6. Construct roadway improvements including cold planning, aggregate base, MWMAC wearing surfaces, concrete curb and sidewalks.
7. Place pavement markings and striping
8. Install signing
9. Roadside development including seeding, planting, fencing, mailboxes and irrigation.
10. Install water mains, vaults, valves, hydrants, services and corrosion control.
11. Provide rodent control within project area.
12. Provide full compliance with the requirements and terms of the Permits provided in the Appendix.

Subcontracting and supplier opportunities are available but not limited to the following categories of work: quality control testing; flagging/traffic control; surveying; demolition; concrete; rebar; cast-in-place concrete; masonry; moisture protection; signage; plumbing; electrical; clearing & grubbing; excavation; dewatering; erosion control; asphalt paving; aggregate; curbs, gutters & sidewalks; pavement marking; fencing; site furnishings; irrigation; landscaping; underground utilities; CCTV (for sewer); CIPP; trucking (dump trucks); and shoring.

Engineer's Estimate: $18,500,000

D/M/W/ESB Aspirational Goal: 20% (up to 5% for suppliers)

D/M/WBE Utilization Goal: 14%

We also encourage the utilization of apprentices for this project.
