This project is located at the Passaic River crossing between Fair Lawn Avenue in Fair Lawn, NJ in the County of Bergen and Route 20 Northbound in Paterson, NJ in the County of Passaic.

The scope of work under this contract is briefly described as, but not limited to, the following:

1) Excavation and disposal of regulated material

2) Construction of a new steel bridge with concrete deck on the same alignment

3) Construction of a new full depth asphalt pavement and asphalt courses

4) Construction of new curb, concrete sidewalk, and beam guide rail

5) Construction of new drainage

6) Maintenance and protection of traffic

7) Installation of an interim traffic signal system

8) Installation of a new traffic signal system

9) Installation of signing and striping

10) Drilling of micropile foundations

11) Complete demolition and removal of the existing steel truss bridge and associated piers

12) Installation and removal of temporary cofferdams for pier removal and construction

13) Temporary work bridge/trestle
SUBCONTRACTING & MATERIAL SUPPLY OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to, the following: Trucking/Hauling, Asphalt Milling & Paving, Traffic Control Items and Maintenance, Demolition Work, Excavation/Grading, Aggregates, Bridge Steel Parapet, Ready-Mixed Concrete, Misc. Concrete Flatwork, Saw Cutting, Lead Abatement, Lighting/Electrical, Traffic Signals, Reinforcing Steel, Structural Steel, Bearings, Strip Seal Expansion Joint Assemblies, Bridge Painting, Drainage Pipes and Drainage Structures, Castings, Cleaning of Existing Drainage Systems, Surveying, Field Office Trailer and Supplies, Line Striping, Shear Studs, Soil Erosion & Sediment Control, Drilled Micropiles, Guide Rails, Cofferdams, Temporary Work Bridge/Trestle, Temporary Sheeting.

Section 152 Insurance Requirements

We are encouraging DBE Subcontractors and Vendors who are registered with the directory of New Jersey Unified Certification Program found at the following internet address: https://njucp.dbesystem.com/ to participate in this project.

All proposals must include: Bid Item Numbers; Addenda; NAICS; Provide Copy of Business Registration Certificate; Provide Copy of NJUCP DBE Certificate*

*NJUCP DBE Certificates must be current at bid time and remain current for the duration of the project

New Jersey Business Registration Certificate must be valid prior to contract award and provide proof of business registration to Schiavone.

Plans, Specifications, Addendum, and Boiler Plate Templates of our Subcontract/Purchase Order ("Agreement") are available on SmartBidNet.com, your firm will be required to execute IF AWARDED the contract. You must base your bid upon the contractual terms and conditions as they are reflected in the Agreement, without amendment. The upstream contractual environment on the Project is demanding and we will not entertain revision to the contractual boilerplate, which should instead be reflected in your bid price.
