The following is a general description of the work to be done under this Contract. This list is intended to give the Contractor a general description of the work involved in this Contract and is not a complete listing of all work to be done. All work shall be done in accordance with the Contract Documents even though not specifically mentioned in this list.

Please note that the Contractor may be asked to purchase commodities to assist with their pair of damaged/deteriorated Thruway facility/infrastructure. These commodities may be used or installed by the Authority or by the Contractor or its subcontractors for the repair of a damaged/deteriorated Thruway facility/infrastructure. If the Contractor is instructed to obtain commodities for the Authority, the Contractor will be required to solicit price quotations from multiple subcontractors/suppliers to obtain the best value for the Authority.

Repairs to Damaged and Deteriorated Thruway Infrastructure:

-Welded Repairs to Bridges
-Heat Straightening to Damaged Bridge Members Bridge/Building Member Replacement
-Removal and Replacement of Coatings, Pavement Repairs/Replacement, Culvert Repairs/Replacement, Embankment and Slope Stabilization, Guiderail Repair/Replacement
-Other Emergency Repairs Traffic Control
-Repair/Replacement of Damaged Signs
-Purchase of commodities incidental to the repair of facility/infrastructure

• Insurance Requirements: Please be sure to review the insurance requirements. Subcontractors will be required to fulfill these requirements.
• Equal Employment Opportunity: The Subcontractor shall undertake or continue existing programs of affirmative action to ensure that minority group members and women are afforded equal employment opportunities. It is the responsibility of all subcontractors to undertake good faith efforts to assist D.A. Collins Environmental Services, LLC in achieving the workforce participation goals established for this project. Goals: Minority 3.20% and Female 6.90%

• In submitting a quote, the vendor assures that there is no conflict of interest or detrimental effect in accordance with Article 6 of the Proposal.
• In order to comply with New York State contracts Article 19, all subcontractors/vendors will be required to provide names of any former New York State employees in their employment.

In anticipation of occurrence, and in accordance with contract specifications, should the need arise for sub-vendor opportunities we need to be fully prepared.
