Is seeking qualified King County SCS

This project provides for the improvement of 162nd Avenue SE in the vicinity of SE 166nd Court in the Fairwood area of King County by clearing and grubbing, grading, surfacing, paving with HMA, culvert excavation, installing a precast concrete box culvert and wing walls, removing and restoring sanitary sewer and water main lines, installing a precast detention vault, cement concrete rolled curb and sidewalk, erosion control, removing and resetting chain link fence, planting, detour signing, temporary traffic control, and other work, all
in accordance with the attached Plans, the Special Provisions, the Standard Specifications, the KCRDCS, and the APWA/WSDOT Standard Plans for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction.

Subcontracting and supplier opportunities are available but not limited to the following categories of work: flagging/traffic control subcontractor; surveying subcontractor; concrete supplier; cast-in-place concrete subcontractor; saw cutting subcontractor; structural steel framing subcontractor; wood, plastic & composite subcontractor; signage subcontractor; clearing & grubbing subcontractor; fill & backfill subcontractor; excavation subcontractor; dewatering subcontractor; erosion control subcontractor; asphalt paving subcontractor; aggregate supplier; fencing subcontractor; landscaping subcontractor; underground utilities subcontractor; trucking (dump trucks) subcontractor; and shoring subcontractor.

Engineer's Estimate: $2,900,000

Participation Goal: SCS - 10%

James W. Fowler Co. will assist SCS subcontractors in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, or materials. We are also available to provide assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit and/or insurance to SCS subcontractors. Please complete all negotiations 24-hours prior to bid opening. We also encourage the utilization of apprentices for this project.
