Is seeking qualified DBEs, Vendor Registration with Amtrak

Granite Construction Northeast, Inc. (Granite or GCN) is planning to submit a Proposal for the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak) RFP X072-0139-0001, for the Hudson Yards Phase II Emergency Services Building (ESB) Building Relocation project.

The scope of the Project is to temporarily relocate facilities contained in the existing LIRR Emergency Services Building (ESB) so it can be demolished to enable future infrastructure construction for the proposed Gateway Tunnel project. The project includes relocation of existing electrical, communication, water utilities & storm drainage, as well as a phase switchover of 13KV ConEdison feeders. The project will also require grading of the yard area & restoration of affected surface areas. All work must be completed without interruption to the current LIRR operations in the yard, & ongoing development of the Hudson Yards.

Bid Date: July 28, 2020

Quotes Due: Tuesday, July 21, 2020

DBE Goal: 5 - 7.5% (NYS Certification & Vendor Registration with Amtrak)

Anticipated Award: Mid-August, 2020
Anticipated Notice to Proceed (NTP): Late August, 2020
Substantial Completion: October 1, 2021
Project Completion: November 1, 2021
