The Mill C Intake General Construction Project involves the modification of the existing intake trash racks with 1-inch clear space racks for fish protection as required by the Saranac River Project . The NYSEG has decided to take advantage of the construction opportunity to improve the current functionality and efficiency of the intake and related structures. Overall the improvements included in the project will enhance safety , trash handling capabilities, and the protection of various fish species.
