This Project consists of the following elements of Work: Abandon in-place existing watermains; install new ductile iron and/or HDPE watermain pipe ranging from 6 inch to 12 inch in diameter; assist SPU water operations with cut, cap, blocking and connections to existing watermains,
service connection transfers, and temporary connections; and the restoration of roadway and landscaping.

Participation Goals: MWBE - 14%

Subcontracting and material/supply opportunities include (but are not limited to): Quality Control Testing Subcontractors; Flagging/Traffic Control Subcontractors; Demolition Subcontractors; Concrete Suppliers; Concrete Cutting Subcontractors; Concrete Boring Subcontractors; Erosion Control Subcontrators; Asphalt Paving Subcontractors; Aggregate Suppliers; Curbs, Gutters, and Sidewalks Subcontractors; Pavement Markings/Striping Subcontractors; Landscaping Subcontractors; Underground Utilities Subcontractors; Trucking (Dump Trucks)Subcontractors.

James W. Fowler Co. will assist MWBE subcontractors in obtaining necessary equipment, supplies, or materials. We are also available to provide assistance in obtaining bonding, lines of credit and/or insurance to MWBE subcontractors. Please complete all negotiations 24-hours prior to bid opening. We also encourage the utilization of apprentices for this project.
