THOMPSON BUILDERS CORPORATION is requesting bids/proposals from ALL MBE/WEBE/WBE/SBE/DBE/DVBE subcontractors, suppliers & truckers for the following project.

Work includes four sites:

1) At the University Pumping Plant site in Berkeley, California: Demolish existing pumping plant and structure and all associated pumps, motors, electrical components and associated piping; hazardous material abatement and disposal; construct a new above ground reinforced concrete pumping plant structure approximately 25ft. x 18 ft. x 15 ft., which includes the 0.2-million gallons per day University Pumping Plant and University Rate Control Station; furnish and install a mechanical pump skid with two 15-HP vertical turbine pumps and motors with related piping, valves, and instruments; provide approved as-built drawings and operations & maintenance manuals, construction of fencing and other site improvements, and perform related required work on District property. Furnish and install approximately 250 feet of 8-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, installing approximately 20 feet of 6-inch ML & PCS pipe, including all appurtenances and fittings, and performing related required work.

2) At the University No. 2 Reservoir site in Oakland, California: Demolish the existing 0.5-MG welded-steel reservoir; hazardous material abatement and disposal; paving,
fencing and performing related required work. Construct one 0.09-MG steel reservoir, concrete valve pits, and associated piping. Work includes the construction of one 0.09-million gallon (MG) welded-steel reservoir with foundation, and valve structures; furnishing and installing approximately 115 feet of 12" diameter, and 20 feet of 6" diameter mortar lined and plastic coated steel (ML & PCS) pipeline and 6" wet tap as shown on DrawingW-10341.

3) At the 98th and Sequoia Rate Control stations sites in Oakland, California: remove and dispose of valves, electrical equipment, and associated piping at 98th Avenue Rate Control Station; demolish existing access platform at 98th Avenue Rate Control Station; demolish and replace valves, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, associated piping including all appurtenances and fittings at the Sequoia Rate Control Station.

4) At the Oak Rate Control Station site in Hayward, California: Demolish existing concrete vault, valves, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, associated piping including all appurtenances and fittings; demolish and replace valves, electrical equipment and associated piping including all appurtenances and fittings at the flow meter vault and perform related required work as shown on the drawings and as specified herein. Provide traffic control for 30 working days for performing related required work, located as shown on drawings and as specified.

At the Oak, 98th and Sequoia Rate Control Stations, work includes the rehabilitation of three rate control stations, demolition, hazardous material abatement and disposal, civil work, furnishing and installing one 24-inch and one 30-inch high performance butterfly valves, approximately 5 feet of 24-inch mortar lined and coated steel (ML & CS) pipe and 27 feet of 36-inch ML & CS pipe, two electric actuators, exhaust fan, instrument transmitters and related electrical equipment, providing approved as-built drawings and operations & maintenance manuals , construction of site improvements, and performing related required work.

This project will require multiple trades and types of work; for example: demolition, saw-cutting, hazardous materials handling, grading, excavation, fill, concrete, shotcrete, rebar, waterproofing, roofing, tank construction, painting, industrial coatings, structural steel, bolting, timber construction, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pipeline, plumbing, fire protection, crane equipment, handrails, guardrails, ladders, gratings and railings, doors and windows, fencing, trucking, hauling, hydroseeding, landscaping, paving, and other required work and trades.

We are signatory to both the Carpenters Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Laborers Collective Bargaining Agreement. Certification of insurance for General Liability and Workers' Compensation are required. A Waiver of Subrogation will also be required with all Subcontract Agreements. Subcontractors' faithful performance and payment bonds in the amount of the subcontract price will be required. Reasonable market rate bond premium will be reimbursed by Thompson Builders Corporation.
