Ghilotti Construction Company, Inc. is seeking certified DBE subcontractors, suppliers & truckers for construction of 4 lane expressway with earthwork and paving on Hwy. 29, 175 in Lake County near Kelseyville on Route 29 from 0.6 Mile to 3.7 Miles North of Route 281 and on Route 175 from South Junction Route 29 to 0.3 Mile East of South Junction Route 29 (01-Lak-29, 175-28.5/31.6, 8.2/8.5). Quotes requested include, but are not limited to, the following scopes of work: CONSTRUCTION AREA SIGNS, ROADSIDE SIGNS, TRAFFIC CONTROL, TRAFFIC MONITORING STATION SYSTEM, RADAR SPEED FEEDBACK SIGN SYSTEMS, REMOVING EXISTING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, DETECTOR, SIGN STRUCTURE, COLD PLANE, CLEAR & GRUB, ASPHALT PAVING, FINISHING ROADWAY, STRUCTURAL CONCRETE, MINOR CONCRETE STRUCTURE, AC DIKE, STRUCTURAL SHOTCRETE, CONCRETE BARRIER, CONCRETE SURFACE TEXTURE, REINFORCING STEEL, EROSION CONTROL, LANDSCAPE / HIGHWAY PLANTING, HYDROSEED, WILDLIFE FENCE (TYPE WM, METAL POST 8'), TEMPORARY FENCING, ESA, SILT, FENCING, CONCRETE CURB & SIDEWALK - MISC., AIR BLOWN MORTAR-SHOTCRETE, ROCK SLOPE PROTECTION, ROCK EXCAVATION (CONTROLLED BLASTING), REINFORCING STEEL, METAL RAILING, THERMOPLASTIC STRIPING & PAVEMENT MARKINGS, SURVEYOR, SWPPP PLANNING, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, BUILDING WORK, STORM DRAIN (UNDERGROUND), GROUND ANCHOR (SUBHORIZONTAL), PAVING FABRIC & OILS, STREET SWEEPING, MATERIAL SUPPLIER & TRUCKING. Engineer's Estimate: $65,000,000 / DBE Goal: 14% / 325 WD + 250 WD FOR PLANT ESTABLISHMENT/ $19,200 per day LD. Submit quotes by Noon on bid date. Contact our estimators for more information. Mr. Jim Petnic and Rod Barber (707/585-1221 or jimp@ghilotti.com / rod@ghilotti.com) are the Estimators for this project and are available to provide you with assistance to clarify any questions regarding the scope of work, including interpretation of plans, specifications and requirements, bid preparation and obtaining bonds, lines of credit, insurance and any technical assistance. GCC may also assist in obtaining any necessary equipment, supplies, materials or related services. (Please note: G.C.C. may require Payment & Performance Bonds on all sub-contracts over $25,000 per Ca. Public Contract Code Sect. 4108. G.C.C. will pay bond premiums up to 1 ½% of contract cost. G.C.C. is a UNION CONTRACTOR. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements.)

Plans, specifications and project requirements may be reviewed at our office in Santa Rosa. They may also be downloaded for free through the Department of Transportation via their website at http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/contract_awards_services.html. Plans may also be viewed or purchased through local plan rooms, builder's exchanges, or Dodge Scan. Ghilotti Construction Company encourages the use of minority and women subcontractors and suppliers and considers such to be an important aspect of the project.

Req: By submitting a proposal, the bidder affirms that they have carefully examined ALL the bidding documents/Addenda and that from his/her own investigation, they have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work. GCC's written subcontract document execution is required of all successful subcontract bidders. A copy is available for inspection on GCC's website (www.ghilotti.com/subcontractors/documents) and/or can be provided upon written request prior to bid submission. Inconsistent bid terms and conditions shall be void.

Insurance: As per our insurance requirements, your bid must include the cost of naming GCC as additional insured; including completed operations coverage; Use form 'CG-2010-1185' or equivalent; include Primary and Non-Contributing wording on your certificate of insurance and waiver of subrogation is required.
