Project Details
The work shall generally consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment and all items deemed necessary for Structural Steel Repairs and Painting at the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. The scope includes but is not limited to: Repairs to subfloor beams, stringers, stiffening truss gusset plates, floor truss center posts, lower chord, catwalk and stairs; repair and replacement of traveler runway rail beams, hangers, splice plates, rivets, drainage pan at Tower Spans 9 and 11 of the upper level; cleaning and painting of the suspended spans between the Brooklyn and Staten Island Anchorages. This work will also include lead abatement.
