This project is for the replacement of the Lake Road Bridge (B.I.N. 2223300) over Metro-North Port Jervis Line in the Town of New Windsor, Orange County, New York. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to:

1. Work Zone and Traffic Control.

2. Demolition and Delivery of the Existing Superstructure. The contractor's attention is directed to the fact that the Town of New Windsor will salvage the existing temporary bridge. Upon removal of the existing superstructure, all materials from the existing bridge to remain the property of the Town shall be removed and returned to the location specified on the plans.

3. Demolition and Disposal of the Existing substructures to the limits shown on the contract drawings.

4. Reconstruction of the bridge approaches to the limits shown on the contract drawings.

5. Construction of a new bridge to include (but not limited to):
a) Construction of new reinforced concrete abutments and M.S.E.S. wall systems.
b) Installation of prestressed concrete beams and cast-in-place bridge deck.
c) Installation of bridge approach railings as shown on the contract drawings.
d) Grading and all approach work within the limits show on the contract drawings.

6. In general, the Contactor shall perform or provide all items necessary to complete the work described on the contract drawings and/or noted in the specifications.
