SCOPE OF WORK & PLEASE READ THE SPECIFICATIONS CAREFULLY:
This is an exterior site improvement project. New stamped, colored concrete approaches, raised concrete pedestrian platforms, new lighting, bird deterrent systems, benches, standing seam metal roof repairs, metal railing repairs and painting of the pedestrian canopies and railing with Tnemec paint.

The OCTA has set a 5% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal for this project. Please make sure and clearly identify if you are a certified DBE business and please provide a copy of your certificate with your bid and include the certification number, awarding agency and expiration date. FYI, you are not required to be a DBE to participate in the project. 

NEW PUBLIC WORKS REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS: All contractors and subcontractors shall not be qualified to bid on or be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Sections 1771.1(a) and 1725.5 More information may be found at:

This project is a public project with prevailing wages and ALL contractors are required to comply with Labor Code 1777.5 and 1777.6.  These labor codes also involve possible donations to an apprenticeship program.  You may not be required to donate if your company is union.  PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE THESE IN YOUR BID!!! There is a per day penalty for underpayment of prevailing wages and/or overtime payments. 

Thomco requires that all subcontractors issue certificates of insurance (general liability & worker's compensation) naming Thomco Construction Inc. as additionally insured.  For the worker's compensation: a waiver of subrogation for the duration of the project is required.  Please include the costs for obtaining these in your bid. If Subcontractor is performing Structural Steel Erection/Fabrication, the insurance amount must be $2,000,000 Aggregate/$1,000,000 Per Occurrence for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage, plus an Excess Umbrella Liability policy in the amount of $5,000,000. NO INCREASE IN CONTRACT AMOUNT(S) WILL BE ISSUED AFTER BID FOR THESE CONDITIONS.

- Structural Steel                 - Optional Price for Existing Column Repairs
- Metal Fabrication (Railing Repairs)
- Sheet Metal (Standing Seam Roofing Repairs)
- Painting (Tnemec Coating)
- Electrical

Liquidated Damages: $300.00 per day

Estimated Award of Contract: Within 120 days, Bid must remain valid for this duration!
