The Central Midlands Council of Governments (CMCOG) in coordination and cooperation with it member governments and the South Carolina Department of Transportation will perform an update to the Regional Long Range Transportation Plan, Congestion Management Plan, & the Regional Travel Demand Model. Responders to the RFP must demonstrate significant planning and technical expertise, a strong knowledge of federal, state and regional requirements, economic development, and land use strategic & scenario planning capabilities for the preparation of a Regional Long Range Transportation Plan, Congestion Management Process and the development of a Regional Travel Demand Model. The expected deliverables for this project are comprehensive regional plans that provides project partners (public and private) with a series of strategies, policies, and projects that will guide future transportation investments within and through the COATS MPO and Central Midlands planning areas.
