Is seeking qualified MBEs, WBEs, SDVOBs

The scope of work for this Contract generally consists of the installation of a new substation near Milepost 35, between Chappaqua and Mount Kisco stations on the Harlem Line, at the "City Water" site. The substation will be constructed to a height as specified on the drawings to avoid flooding. In addition, the new substation will have proper pumps and pits, and critical equipment elevated to improve resiliency to flash flood conditions. The work generally consists of excavating to construct a foundation and cable vault. A prefabricated substation will be installed on top of the cable vault. Rectifier transformers and auxiliary transformers will be installed on top of concrete platforms on either side of the prefabricated substation. Underground ducts will be installed from the substation to the tracks, which include AC feeders from the local utility company, DC feeders and negative returns. The proposed substation will be partially built within the wetlands.15% MBE 15% WBE 6% SDVOB

For Material Contracts, the Bidder shall furnish Supply Bonds in amount equal to full Material Contract price. Bond premiums are reimbursable by Kiewit/Mass. Electric Construction Co.
