MEB General Contractors, Inc. will be bidding as a General Contractor on the Philpott Water Filtration Plant Upgrade to 6.0 MGD project on October 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM. We are currently soliciting quotes from MBE/WBE/DEB subcontractors and suppliers. The Description of work is as follows:
Henry County Public Service Authority Philpott Water Filtration Plant Upgrade to 6.0 MGD:

1. Contract 1 - Raw Water Intake Improvements: The Work includes the furnishing of labor,materials, and equipment for installing three (3) intake screens in the Smith River, three (3)new raw water pumps, air burst system, building addition and improvements, site work, and all appurtenances.
2. Contract 2 - Water Filtration Plant Improvements: The Work includes the furnishing of labor, materials, and equipment for expanding the WFP to a treatment capacity 6.0 MGD as detailed in the Contract Documents.

Please note that MBE/WBE/DBE firms must submit a EPA Form 6100-3. This form MUST be submitted with our bid package. Please ensure this form is submitted to us at least two days prior to the bid date. As a responsible contractor, we will aggressively pursue MBE/WBE/DBE participation in excess of the minimal requirements. If you are interested in this project but discouraged by any of its requirements, please contact us. If needed, we will break down or combine elements of work into feasible units or smaller task/quantities and negotiate in Good Faith in order to facilitate MBE/WBE/DBE participation. We have special joint pay agreements and even an expedited payment policy for MBE/WBE/DBE firms, and we encourage to you to contact us to discuss how these procedures can help you on this project. If the bonding, letter of credit or insurance requirements set forth in the bid documents would otherwise prevent you from soliciting a quote please contact us and we will discuss ways that we may be able to help you meet these requirements.
