Is seeking qualified MBE/WBE/DBE/SLBE subcontractors/suppliers

The County Commissioners of Charles County are hereby requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for construction of the Closed Loop Systems Improvements project at the Mattawoman Wastewater Treatment Plant (MWWTP). The project includes replacement of existing four vertical extended shaft type pump and addition of two new influent pumps, replacement of four existing vertical turbine type effluent pumps and addition of one new effluent pump, replacement of valves and piping, replacement of sluice gates, replacement of overhead crane system, expansion of existing MCC Building, electrical work including new 480 V electrical gear, replacement of transformers, new controls and instrumentation and modification of existing SCADA system to accommodate new systems, HVAC system upgrades, yard piping, site work and temporary influent and effluent pumping by-pass system. Project includes all associated structural, electrical, and mechanical work for a complete system to upgrade a 60 MGD pump station with new equipment. In addition, this project will include valve and flow meter replacement on the effluent force main. This work is defined in a separate set of drawings and technical specifications.
