MEB General Contractors, Inc. is currently soliciting quotes from interested MBE/WBE subcontractors and suppliers for Mt. Zion/Rustic Area Water System Water Supply Improvements, Charles City, VA. The project is generally described as construction of a water supply system replacement at the Mt. Zion /Rustic Area Waterworks. The scope includes permanent abandonment of two existing ground water wells at Mt. Zion and Rustic Area and demolition of an existing Pumps and Electrics, Pump Building, RO Unit and Electrics, RO Building and a Generator. The proposed scope includes two ground water well pumps, well head piping, RO Unit, Chemical Feed System, Concentrate Holding and Discharge Tank, Domestic Booster Pumps, High Service Pumps and Hydropneumatic Tank. The scope also includes the construction of a 30?feet by 24?feet precast concrete building to replace the existing RO Building and will also house well piping and controls. A 20?feet by 12?feet precast concrete building shall be provided to house the booster pump, high service pumps, controls and 5,000 gallon hydropneumatic tank piping and controls.

Please note that MBE/WBE firms must submit a EPA Form 6100-3. This form MUST be submitted with our bid package. Please ensure this form is submitted to us at least two days prior to the bid date. As a responsible contractor, we will aggressively pursue MBE/WBE participation in excess of the minimal requirements. If needed, we will break down or combine elements of work into feasible units or smaller task/quantities and negotiate in Good Faith in order to facilitate MBE/WBE participation.
