General Description: The Improvement of Mattox Road from Mission Blvd to Angus Way. The work consists of but is not limited providing a traffic control system; providing construction area signs; furnishing and implementing water pollution control plans; furnishing and supplying water; notifying and coordinating with local residents and utility companies; removing and reconstructing existing concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveways, driveway conforms, and pedestrian ramps; retrofitting existing pedestrian ramps, removing existing median island and reconstructing wider median island with landscaping; relocating and modifying existing drop inlets; converting existing drop inlets to manholes; installing traffic signal bicycle detector loop; replacing existing detector loops; constructing tree wells; planting new trees and blue English lavender plans within new median island and planting new trees along both sides of Mattox Road from Mission Blvd to Angus Way; applying slurry seal to existing AC pavement; restriping the roadway; installing Class II bike lanes; and cleaning of the site at the end of the project. Engineers Estimate: $330,000. 5% WBE, 15% MBE. JJR Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified UDBE/DBE/SBE/DVBE/MBE/WBE/LBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to, PEDESTRIAN AND TRAFFIC CONTROL, TRUCKING, ELECTRICAL, LANDSCAPING, CONCRETE SUPPLY, MATERIAL SUPPLY, STRIPING, DEMOLITION AND GRADING, PAVING, UNDERGROUND AND SAWCUTTING. JJR Construction, Inc. is signatory to Laborers and Cement Masons Unions. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements. Contractors must possess a current contractor?s license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting JJR?s requirements and will be required to sign the standard JJR Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
