General Description: Sidewalk Improvements on Hathaway Avenue from West Blossom Way to Mero Street. The work consists of but is not limited to providing traffic control; providing construction area signs; furnishing and implementing water pollution control plans; furnishing and applying water; saw-cutting, removing and disposing existing asphalt concrete surface within saw-cut limit; installing reinforced concrete pipe; constructing storm drain inlets and storm drain manholes; trenching for installation of storm drain components; constructing Portland cement concrete driveways, walkways, sidewalk, curb and gutter, and curb ramps; installing sidewalk drains; furnishing and installing roadside signs and posts; furnishing and compacting asphalt concrete; performing hazardous material removal and treatment, if encountered; clearing and grubbing; coordinating with various utility companies for adjustment of various facilities to new grade; notifying and coordinating with residents; filing corner records; installing standard concrete monuments; removing and disposal of excess and waste material; cleaning of the site at the end of the job; and the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, mechanical workmanship, transportation, and services necessary to be done in order to perform a complete job in all respects as indicated on the plans and as directed by the Engineer. JJR Construction, Inc. is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified UDBE/DBE/SBE/DVBE/MBE/WBE/LBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to, PEDESTRIAN AND TRAFFIC CONTROL, TRUCKING, ELECTRICAL, LANDSCAPING, CONCRETE SUPPLY, MATERIAL SUPPLY, STRIPING, DEMOLITION AND GRADING, PAVING, UNDERGROUND AND SAWCUTTING. JJR Construction, Inc. is signatory to Laborers and Cement Masons Unions. Any non-signatory subcontractors will be required to sign an agreement for trades covered under our agreements. Contractors must possess a current contractor?s license, insurance and workers compensation coverage meeting JJR?s requirements and will be required to sign the standard JJR Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator.
