Request For Proposal- Notice to Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBEs) including Minority, Women, Small Businesses, and Disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprises

Notice is hereby given that Kawasaki Rail Car Inc. is requesting proposals for qualified and certified subcontractors to participate in the supply and delivery of 130 New Bi-Level Passenger Railcars for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) joint procurement proposal.

DBE Areas of Interests for Caltrans:

• Supply of parts (hardware, wire, cables, etc.)
• Sheet metal fabrication
• Parts for heating equipment
• Cable fabrication/assembly
• Technical consultant (Manual & Training)
• Distributor of various railcar equipment
• Logistics
• Field service (Commissioning, warranty, inspection)
• Testing equipment suppliers

All potential suppliers shall be certified DBE or compliance with DOT requirements or with an equivalent program.

All suppliers who are interested need to send the following information:

• Copy of DBE Certification
• Company profile
• List of customers with phone numbers and contact individual
• Annual sales volumes
• List of products/services offered
